Welcome to a unique and exciting experience in the Bolivian Amazon! This combined 5-day, 4-night tour will take you to explore the Tacana Indigenous Community of San Miguel del Bala on the banks of the Madidi National Park, as well as the majestic Pampas of the Yacuma River.

ITINERARY

On the first day, after breakfast (not included), we will pick you up from your hotel in Rurrenabaque or the airport (if you arrive on the same day of the tour before 10:30 am).

We will begin our journey by navigating a motorboat along the majestic Beni River.  We will visit the spectacular San Miguel Stone Canyon. This unforgettable hike will take you to a place of unparalleled natural beauty.

Next, we will visit the Tacana indigenous community of San Miguel del Bala, a hidden gem in the jungle. Here, you will have the opportunity to learn about the daily life of our people and our ancestral traditions. You will try your hand at weaving with forest materials and extracting delicious sugarcane juice using the traditional “trapiche.”
For lunch, you will enjoy a traditional meal prepared in the home of a local community member, offering an authentic cultural experience.

After lunch and our visit to the canyon, we will continue our journey, navigating for 4-5 hours along the Beni River to enter the breathtaking Madidi National Park. We will arrive at our eco-lodge, located near the Eslabón River and known as the “Heart of Madidi.” The lodge features private rooms with en-suite bathrooms, ensuring your comfort amidst the jungle.

In the evening, after a delicious dinner, you can choose to join a thrilling night walk through the jungle to discover its nocturnal wonders.

On the second day, after breakfast, we will immerse ourselves in the heart of the Bolivian jungle. Throughout the day, we will explore various interpretative trails guided by our expert team. These hikes will reveal the secrets of the rainforest, from its incredible biodiversity to its fascinating ecosystems.

Our guides will share their extensive knowledge, ensuring you experience the magic of the jungle in every step.

After a day filled with adventure and discovery, we will return to the eco-lodge for a delicious dinner and an overnight stay.

On the third day, early in the morning, we will serve you breakfast before taking you to Rurrenabaque to start a new adventure on the Pampas tour.

Once you are in Rurrenabaque, we will leave from our offices, traveling by land from Rurrenabaque, we will enter the nature of the Yacuma Pampas. We will have lunch in the beautiful town of Santa Rosa del Yacuma, and then navigate upstream by motorboat on the Yacuma River. During this trip, we will see incredible species such as birds, caimans, turtles, monkeys, capybaras, and maybe even pink dolphins!

At the end of the day, we will enjoy a beautiful sunset on the Pampas, and for those who want something more, they can join a night activity to observe the glow of the caiman’s eyes (for this activity, each person must have a flashlight).

On the fourth day, we will have a walk through the Pampas in search of the imposing anaconda and other animals (for this activity, we will provide you with rubber boots, in Bolivia we only have sizes up to 45EUR). If we are in the rainy season, we will navigate by motorboat to try to find this type of snake in the trees and spot more animals.

After lunch, we will have the unique opportunity to swim with pink dolphins in nearby backwaters. This territorial animal will keep us safe from caimans, and we can enjoy a close encounter with these beautiful creatures.

On the fifth and final day, after breakfast, we will focus on sports fishing for piranhas, a unique and exciting experience. We will have lunch and then head back to Rurrenabaque, where we will arrive around 5 pm.
