Jungle Tour 3D2N Madidi – Indigenous Community San Miguel del Bala

Welcome adventurers, get ready for an unforgettable tour through Madidi National Park and the Tacana Indigenous Community of San Miguel de Bala! In just three days and two nights, you will experience activities that you will remember forever.

ITINERARY

On the first day, after breakfast (not included), we will pick you up from your hotel in Rurrenabaque or from the airport (if you arrive on the same day of the tour before 10:30 am). We will begin our adventure on the beautiful Beni River, navigating in a motorized boat surrounded by impressive landscapes. We will head towards the Tacana Indigenous Community of San Miguel de Bala, where we will have the opportunity to learn about their customs and traditions through various exciting activities. You can learn how to weave using materials from the forest and squeeze delicious sugarcane using an ancestral mill called “trapiche”.
After a delicious lunch, you will have the option to walk on the “trap trail” and/or the “medicinal plant trail” to discover the secrets of the jungle. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to explore a spectacular rock formation called Cañón de Piedra and refresh yourself in a natural pool with crystal-clear waters and a small waterfall.
We will return to our lodge for dinner and nocturnal activities if you prefer to rest.
On the second day, we will start early with the sound of tropical birds and a delicious breakfast before starting our boat trip on the Beni River and the Tuichi River, inside Madidi National Park. You will enjoy incredible landscapes and have the opportunity to see wild animals in their natural habitat. After approximately 2 and a half hours of boat travel, we will arrive at Caquiahuara, where we will settle in the middle of the jungle. Then, we will explore the surrounding area in a short walk and return to the place where we settled to have lunch and rest a bit.
In the afternoon, we will venture into the jungle on an extensive walk in search of wild animals such as monkeys, wild pigs, reptiles, and birds. You will learn about the flora and fauna of the jungle with our expert guide.
After dinner, we will prepare for an exciting night walk in the jungle, where we can observe alligators on the river banks and possibly see nocturnal animals such as tapirs, deer, and armadillos.
On the third day, we will wake up early to observe the beautiful red-blue macaws in their natural habitat. After a brief boat trip and a 20-minute walk through the jungle, we will arrive at “Parabal,” a rocky wall where the red-blue macaws nest.
You will also have the opportunity to enjoy an exciting sport fishing session in a boat, and after lunch, we will return to Rurrenabaque, sailing in our motorized boat (approximate arrival time 5:00 pm).
There will be many opportunities to admire the beauty of the jungle and reflect on all the exciting adventures we have experienced together!
